2013 New Year's Resolution:
To however, cause the Judiciary of New Brunswick to uphold the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Reason being, that, the Charter is applicable in New Brunswick, just as all provinces are bound by the Constitution.
Despite the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was adopted in 1982, it was not until 1985, that, the main provisions regarding equality rights (section 15) came into effect. The delay was meant to give the federal and provincial governments an opportunity to review per-existing statutes and strike potentially unconstitutional inequalities.

Did you know that anyone can receive a CD recording of a Hearing, that was before the Court of Queens Bench?

To receive a CD recording of a Queens Bench Trial Division Hearing, the steps I follow are simple.

I send a completed ‘Request for Purchase of a Court Recording’ Form including a certified cheque or money order made out to the Minister of Finance in the amount of $20.00.

I send the document to Court of Queen's Bench, the locations for same are found at the following address:

http://www.gnb.ca/cour/04CQB/locations-e.asp

The Judge who presided over the matter must Sign the release document, for the request to be granted.

If he denies the request, they will return the certified cheque or money order to me.

If the Judge signs the Order, then I can receive the CD by mail or I can pick it up at the respective Office.
